Indonesia was struck by a powerful 7.4‑magnitude earthquake early on 2 April in the Molucca Sea, off Ternate in North Maluku, killing at least one person and briefly triggering a tsunami warning.
The quake struck between the islands of Manado and Ternate. Tsunami warnings have now been lifted.
An earthquake of magnitude 7.6 struck Indonesia on Thursday, killing one, damaging some buildings and triggering tsunami waves, authorities and witnesses said.
The ​epicentre of the ⁠earthquake was about ⁠120km (75 miles) from Ternate, in Indonesia's North Maluku ‌province.

The quake had depth of 35km and its epicentre was 127km (79 miles) west-north-west of Ternate in Northern Molucca Sea region
