The Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is pledging an assault on the cost of living as the centrepiece of his plan to stay in office.
Sir Keir said the government is 'talking to the sector, particularly hospitality and pubs' about the 'further support' it could be given as high business rates threaten pubs with extinction.
This doomsday verdict comes from something called the Resolution Foundation, a Left-wing 'think tank' presumably broadly sympathetic to the Labour Party.
Keir Starmer dodged saying whether he believed the US had broken the law with the extraordinary seizure of Nicola Maduro from Caracas.
